Fostering the Caribbean Data Revolution

The CariData platform will be used to facilitate the access to open data sources within the Caribbean region. The aim of this project is to create easy access to open data sources for Caribbean countries, driving the digital revolution within the region. The platform will also help foster the development ecosystem within the Caribbean, by giving developers an open data platform to drive the development of data driven applications.

Our Mission

Over the past couple decades, the world has seen amazing technological advancements. We are able to connect with each other and conduct business more efficiently than ever before. This is all largely due to the open sharing of data.

Build APIs to drive third party use of data
Build easy to use APIs. that allow developers to integrate needed data into their applications.
Enable easy access to researchers and investors
Allows researchers and investors to view, search and filter pertinent information.
Foster technological innovation
The access to data can promote new innovations in a number of industries.
Foster inter-island innovation
Allow entrepreneurs to easily create ventures that can scale across islands as opposed to be limited to a limited market.
“The innovation ecosystem within the Caribbean should embrace a strength in numbers mindset. This is the path to true growth and innovation within the region. This is also the only true profitable means of sustainable innovation.”
